Peter and Jenny Blyth’s Clifton Stud is firing on all cylinders – after selling a handsome Gimmethegreenlight colt for R600 000, the yearlings Act Of War half-sister, Shield Of Roses – racing for the same connections and Muzi Yeni as the famed War Of Athena – won a very smart debut at Turffontein on Saturday from a smartly bred juvenile trained by Mike De Kock.

The filly is out of Capiapo by Captain Al.

Sunday saw Clifton’s Capetown Noir get two on the trot for trainer Corinne Bestel – and not only two on the trot, but a 1-2 in the 9th race of the day for Clifton and Corinne too, with Flying The Star (Flying The Flag – Star Silvano) finishing second.

Clifton are on a winners to runners percentage of just over 30%.

Congratulations to all concerned!
