Camelot Has Colic Surgery |
Stuart Riley of Racingpost.com reports that three-time Classic winner Camelot has come through exploratory colic surgery and “is doing great”, Coolmore Stud has revealed on Friday morning.
The surgery, announced on Thursday evening, took place at Fethard Veterinary Hospital. A tweet from Coolmore read: “Camelot’s colic surgery went well and he is doing great. The veterinary team are delighted with his progress to date.”
The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt, who missed out on Triple Crown glory when he was beaten in the St Leger, was last seen finishing seventh in Sunday’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Camelot is by Montjeu who died prematurely earlier this year, out of a Kingmambo/Danehill mare, Tarfah.
