Backworth’s Glitter Star Continues To Shine For Lucky Houdalakis

Backworth-bred Glitter Star (Muhtafal – Celestial Charm by Freedom Land) notched up his second win Thursday at the Vaal under jockey Marthinus Mienie for trainer Lucky Houdalakis. The 3-year-old gelding won handsomely by 2 lengths carrying top weight and takes his career record to 2 wins and 4 places from 6 starts. Congratulations to owner Mr ME Leaf.

Glitter Star’s dam, Celestial Charm, is a half sister to Roland’s Song; ARCSA Champion 2-year-old filly, Horse Of The Year, Champion 3-year-old and Champion Older Female. This family also includes the likes of Thanks John, Santa Lucia and Savonarola.

Glitter Star is a graduate from the Backworth draft of the 2010 KZN Yearling Sale.
