HOT YOUNG SIRES PROMINENT IN PIEMONTE DRAFT
Based in the heart of racehorse country in KZN, Piemonte Stud will be offering a very attractive draft at the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
Piemonte’s NYS draft consistes of yearlings by such exciting young stallions as Captain Of All, Capetown Noir, Global View, Flying The Flag, Vercingetorix and Wylie Hall –making this not a draft to miss!
First into the ring is Candia (Lot 13) a regally bred daughter of Equus Champion Soft Falling Rain and Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery winner Winter Fantasy –herself a daughter of G1 Thekwini Stakes heroine Royal Fantasy.
Well performed Galileo son Global View is represented here by Caearo (Lot 136) a colt out of a eight time winning half-sister to the very speedy stakes winner Lielums, while Cerelia (Lot 187) is a Jackson filly bred on similar lines to champions Horse Chestnut and Monyela. Jackson is also the sire of Diedi (Lot 333) a colt out of the stakes winning East Cape champion Dancing Natasha, from the family of champion Beholder and red hot US sire Into Mischief.
Another young Galileo sire represented in the Piemonte draft is the blue blooded Flying The Flag, a brother to G1 winners Magical and Rhododendron. The latter has two sons on offer –a colt (Lot 263) out of a daughter of Australian G3 winner Lucky Diva, and a colt (Lot 292) whose siblings include the high class sprinter Amazing Strike.
Boom sire Vercingetorix is the sire of Campa (Lot 223) a half-brother to talented G3 performer Celestina, while another red hot stallion represented in the Piemonte draft is multiple G1 winner Wylie Hall, whose son Decimus (Lot 278) is a half-brother to multiple stakes winner A Time To Dream.
Equus Champion Capetown Noir (whose very first runner was the classy Brandina) is represented here by a half-brother (Lot 458) to the stakes winning dam of G3 Prix du Cap winner Rose In Bloom (recently sold for R800 000), while red hot sire, and European champion, Oratorio is represented by a colt (Lot 472) from the immediate family of champion sprinter and G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner Sheikh Albadou.
Yet another Equus Champion with a yearling in this draft is the very promising Captain Of All, whose first runners include the stakes winning Captain Anne Bonny. He is the sire of Cleto (Lot 493) a colt out of a winning Fort Wood own sister to G3 Peninsula Handicap winner Wonder Lawn –a former record price NYS buy!
