French Stakes Winner For Linngari
Garlingari took home the Prix Du Grand Camp (Listed) in France at Lyon recently by an incredible 8.5 lengths from Monsun gelding Quidamo.
The son of Summerhill Stud’s Linngari, standing his first season at stud in KZN, has not won since the Crusader Laroche in November 2014 but Garlingari displayed all the same good consistency in heavy going which he enjoys over a distance of 2400m.
Garlingari has placed second in two Listed races previously, the Prix Le Fabuleux and Derby Du Midi.
Garlingari is out of Garlinote by Poliglote, a son of Sadler’s Wells. Garlinote is out of a Mill Reef/Carvin mare.
The globe-trotting multiple Group-winning Linngari is by Indian Ridge out of Lidakiya by Khayasi. He ranked second only to the brilliant Le Havre among French sires of Three-Year-Olds in 2014 and has produced five Stakes winners and Six Stakes horses already, as well as numbers of 4,5,6 and 8-time winners.
He stands for a fee of R25 000 this year, his first season at stud in South Africa.
