Fanie shows his “pure” potent power
Great article on the Sporting Post website about trainer Fanie Bronkhorst who is making waves in the racing community thanks to his superstar horses. From relatively small beginings, Fanie has fashioned a top class racing operation.
Some of his greatest successes have come with #KZNBred horses: one of his earliest was with a #KZNBred, Running Brave, the Summerhill Stud bred daughter of Brave Tin Soldier – Moovingandgrooving (Jet Master) who won the Gr2 Kudu Gold Bracelet WFA twice, along with the Gr3 London News Stakes, and was a narrow 2nd to Triple Tiara winner Summer Pudding in the 2021 Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes as well.
Now he has another star in his stable with the Laurence Wernars bred at Bush Hill Stud Pure Predator, who has served notice of his intentions after his cracking run in the Gr2 Colorado King Stakes this past Saturday at Turffontein. Pure Predator grabbed people’s attention when he duelled with the Bush Hill Stud bred Purple PItcher for line honors in the SA Derby, is what makes racing so addictive, and worth coming back to watch!
Its a display of how much value Fanie puts in our #kznbred horses that one of the two that he purchased at the recently held Bloodstock South Africa National Yearling Sale was from Camargue Stud, Lot 292, William Longsword – Private Dancer colt about which he had the following to say “Very nice colt – dam produced 3 runners, 2 winners. Athletic horse with a strong hindquarter. Depp girth. He has a nice head and intelligent eye. He will come early. I like him a lot”.
