Declarationofpeace Awaiting Full Book Of Mares
Mike McHardy of Rathmor Stud reports that Declarationofpeace, a War Front half-brother to Gold Cup producing Noble Tune, has landed in South Africa and is currently in quarantine.
Declarationofpeace will join Rathmor soon in Nottingham Road where he has received enthusiastic support from the local breeders, with a full book of 80 mares waiting for him – a book that has been limited in his first season because of his time of arrival for covering in the Southern Hemisphere.
Noble Tune enjoyed a double at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday, one being the Rathmor-bred Mystery Boy – a handsome and flashy black horse with white stockings and a blaze, and a half-brother to Gr1 winner Lady In Black and Gr2 winner Nexus. He has been a tough customer for his trainer Gareth Van Zyl and through the hard work of Equine Behaviourist Mike Shaw, Mystery Boy has made enormous progress and won his 2nd race over 2400m.
A double followed with Fight Song, also born and raised by Rathmor Stud for breeder Mrs Lynette Ryan, who won for the third occasion. This is a mating that has been previously successful – as both full siblings Rise and Waiting For Summer, both out of Dynasty mare Summer To Remember, are both winners.
