Three year old Silvano filly out of KZN Breeders former Horse Of The Year, and five-time Gr1 winner, Dancewiththedevil, broke her maiden at the Vaal today at the third time of asking.
Devilish Dancer, whose owner breeder and trainer St John Gray enjoyed outstanding success with his star daughter of Modus Vivendi and sent her to the UK at one point, looked to emulate her famous dam’s running style when coming from the back to win in fine style under jockey Randall Simons.
Dancewiththedevil retired to Hadlow Stud for St John Gray, but sadly passed away in April 2020.
Graystone Stud boast 15 wins this season, one of them Black Type and over R1,4-million in stakes earned.
