Flying The Flag’s Convocation came home victorious at the fourth time of asking for trainer Gareth Van Zyl on Tuesday.

Owned by Messrs Allan F Peters and Raj Singh, the three year old filly has earned a cheque in all of her starts for her connections and after debuting over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Greyville, she found the winners box over 1000m at Turffontein by a length and a half under Denis Schwarz, who has ridden her in her last two starts.

The dam by Kahal is a half sister to Mr Mulliner, and has produced a Willow Magic foal in 2022.

This is the female line of Starcraft, Gr1 winner Happy Valentine and Neo Star.

Bush Hill Stud are on almost 30% winners to runners for the season with stakes of over R1,5-million in stakes earned.
