CLIFTON STUD TO OFFER IMPOSING STRING AT TWO YEAR OLD SALE

Clifton Stud, a long time vendor at the Two Year Old Sale, will be offering a large and imposing draft at the 2021 August Two Year Old Sale.

Clifton’s draft is made up of two-year-olds sired by all of Coup De Grace, Crusade, Mambo In Seattle and William Longsword, and offers a horse for every buyer!

Tapit horse Coup De Grace has a single lot on offer -Makalu’s Grace (Lot 92) is a filly from one of the best families in the stud book, with her numerous high-class relatives including such standout G1 winners as Beat Hollow, Kingman, La Collina, New Bay, and Oasis Dream.

Short-lived G1 winner Crusade, a prolific source of precocious winners, has seven lots on offer here. They include Princess Zenobia (Lot 102), a filly from the family of Travers Stakes winner Corporate Report, Tried And True (Lot 198), a sister to the useful Golden Spiral and half-sister to the promising Tip Of The Spear, and Splendid Isolation (Lot 227). The latter is a colt whose dam is a three-parts sister to the G1 winning champion Fearless, and his third dam is Gold Cup heroine Festive Forever.

Clifton’s resident sire Mambo In Seattle, whose progeny include multiple G1 winner Same Jurisdiction among others, has four lots on offer, with Clifton acting as agent on another two-year-old by Mambo In Seattle. Mambo In Seattle’s offerings include Zululanga (Lot 72), a filly out of a daughter of top-class racemare She’s A Winner, Kinsky In Seattle (Lot 286), a half-brother to the very smart Beckedorf, and Beguiling (Lot 308) -a filly bred on similar lines to champion Laverna.

The farm will also be offering, as agent, Golden Gardens (Lot 141) -a Mambo In Seattle half-sister to five winners including Derby Trial third Dante’s Legacy.

Excalibur Calls (Lot 303), a colt by the very exciting William Longsword, is out of Zimbabwean champion Duffi’s Call, herself a full-sister to Zimbabwe Guineas hero Print The Pounds.
