BATTLE FORCE SIBLING A STANDOUT FOR MACRATH!
Macrath CC will be offering a quality quartet at the upcoming November Two Year Old Sale, with all four of their lots sired by the versatile globetrotter Linngari. A G1 winner in both Germany and Italy, Linngari won or placed in seven G1 races during a career which saw the chestnut race in all of Britain, Dubai, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy and Turkey.
Linngari made his mark at stud as the sire of four time group winner Garlingari, and fellow stakes winners Hastquina, Comical, and Mr Pommeroy.
He is represented in this draft by a blue blooded filly (Lot 21), in the form of a half-sister to top-class sprinter Battle Force. The latter made a name for himself when he won the 2021 G1 Golden Horse Sprint, defeating such G1 winners as Eden Roc, Chimichuri Run and champion Kasimir. Battle Force is out of the Elusive City mare Mataaib, who herself hails from the same family as current Australian star Zaaki and recent French St Leger hero Iresine among many others.
This draft also includes a colt (Lot 34) whose third dam is champion Wavering Girl, a half-brother (Lot 124) to the stakes placed Stella Act, and a colt (Lot 127) from the same female line as Breeders’ Cup winners Karakontie, Miesque and Six Perfections to name but three!
All four of the two-year-olds mentioned above can be viewed in Block B at the TBA complex in Germiston.
