Lucky Houdalakis filly Banking April is currently heading up the top of the KZN Breeders Series log for three year olds and up, with 23 points. Clifton Stud’s Fashion Talk, a half sister to Fort Vogue and Whatalady, follows suit along with Roy’s Taxi.
Just the typical type of horse Crusade has developed a reputation to produce, Roski-bred Calladdi was the pick of the parade ring on his debut at Scottsville, owned in the combined and successful partnership of Team G Racing (Nom: Mr G H van Zyl) & Green Street Bloodstock (Pty) Ltd (Justin Vermaak, C Vermaak & A Vermaak).

The Vodacom Durban July field has been announced, and sees KZN Breeders Million Mile entrant Rabada lining up for Africa’s most exclusive race for a stake of R4,25 million. The only other horse to attempt this double previously was Gr1 winner, Love Struck.
The final field for the exclusively KZN-bred field galloping for the stake of R1million has been announced, and includes recent Gr1 Daily News 2000 winner, Rabada. The KZN Breeders Million Mile is now in its fourth year, previously known as the KZN Breeders 1600 Listed.
Dual Gr1 winner Rabada has been entered into the KZN Breeders Million Mile, as well as Graded Stakes Winners’ Heaps Of Fun, previous winner No Worries, Bezanova and King’s Archer. Scottsville record holder Humidor has also been entered.
