The top priced colt from KZN on the third and final day of the National Yearling Sale came from Clifton Stud when a beautiful Crusade colt sold for R350 000, whilst the top-priced filly of the final day came from Piemonte Stud for R200 000 as Lot 410.
Day 2 of the National Yearling Sale yielded very pleasing results, in particular for Bush Hill Stud who sold the top-priced KZN colt to date with a magnificent son of Kahal out of Plutonium by Muhtafal, for R650 000 whilst Rathmor’s Eightfold Path filly sold for R325 000.
KZN’s top selling colt of the day came from Bush Hill Stud – an immaculately-bred Oratorio colt out of Felix The Cat by Black Minnaloushe, knocked down to Garth Puller for R400 000, whilst St Helier Stud’s breathtaking grey Crusade filly sold for R300 000.
In the past week Bush Hill Stud have had two significant winners – each at Kenilworth and at the Vaal, and they have two siblings consigned at the National Yearling Sales taking place this week. Both yearlings are by National Top 4 sire Kahal, and this is the last crop of yearlings available from the deceased son of Green Desert.
