#kznbreds Camphoratus and Wynkelder took home awards at the weekends KZN Racing Awards, hosted by Gold Circle at the Greyville Convention Centre.

Camphoratus trained by Robbie and Shannon Hill, took home awards for Champion Older Mare and Champion Middle Distance Horse. She had an outstanding season, winning the Gr3 Flamboyant at the end of December, winning the Gr1 Empress Club Stakes and defeating Oh Susanna, placing 6th in the Vodacom Durban July just 2 lengths off Do It Again, and going on to finish a close second to her Empress Club rival and #kznbred, Running Brave, in the Gr2 Gold Bracelet on Gold Cup Day.

She is bred by Middlefield Stud who retained a share in her, along with Gerald Sadlier as well as Messrs Muir and Manicom. She has had 5 wins and earned R 1,230,575 in stakes. Out of imported Horse Chestnut mare Wild Camphor, she is sired by Byword.
