Summerhill Well Represented At National 2YO Sale
Summerhill Sales will be strongly represented at the 2017 National Two Year Old Sale, by no fewer than 33 juveniles.
Former G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winner, and leading first crop sire Visionaire has eight two-year-olds in the Summerhill draft, including a colt from the family of Met third Flying Promise (Lot 55), a colt out of a winning Jallad half-sister to G2 winning millionaire Amphitheatre (Lot 181), a filly from the family of champion distaffers Dog Wood and Enchanted Garden (Lot287), a colt out of a stakes placed half-sister to G1 winning sprinter Disappear (Lot 312) and a colt from the same family as champions Galileo and Sea The Stars (Lot 373).
Giant’s Causeway’s triple group winning son Await The Dawn, sadly now deceased, made a smart start with his first crop including five juvenile winners. His draft includes a half-sister to ten time stakes winner Pisces Star (Lot7), and a colt whose dam is a half-sister to G1 Met winner Angus (Lot 165).
Summerhill’s resident sire Brave Tin Soldier is a proven source of high class performers, with his best including the G1 winners Rabada and Brave Mary. He has eight in the draft, including a filly whose dam is a sister to feature race winner Jamboree Jet (Lot 63), a colt out of G3 Poinsettia Stakes winner Hot Reception (Lot 436), and a half-sister to the smart performer Jet Air (Lot 458).
Ato was a top-class performer and international G1 winner, whose wins included the G1 Krisflyer Sprint. He has four members of his first crop in the draft, including a filly whose five time winning dam is a half-sister to stakes winning filly Cast A Spell (Lot 30), a colt from the same family as four time G1 winner and top class sire Azamour (Lot 268), and a half-brother to 3 time stakes winner Nondweni (Lot106).
Other lots of note in the Summerhill draft include a Traffic Guard colt out of G3 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Oochee Agent (Lot 82), a Golden Sword half-brother to Ready To Run Cup winner Winter Star (Lot 241), and a Golden Sword filly from the same family as recent G1 Premiers Champion Stakes winner Eyes Wide Open (Lot428).
