Redoute’s Promise has had his first foals arriving at Bush Hill Stud. The first son of Australia’s Champion Sire to go to stud in South Africa, the powerful stallion is out of the Gr1 winning South African bred mare both locally and in Australia, Perfect Promise.

The daughter of Caesour (and a full sister to the brilliant international Gr1 winning Irridescence) has also produced a four-time winner in Japan, Vredefort, and More Energy – a winning son of Fastnet Rock.

Redoute’s Promise sold for $75 000 as a yearling and again in South Africa for R500 000 at the Ready To Run Sale. Sadly the big colt didnt get to show his talent at the track after being injured and was retired to stud at Bush Hill.

Hailed as the best son of Danehill at stud, Redoute’s Choice commands a service of $110,000. He has been Champion Sire three times in Australia, produced 27 individual Gr1 winners and 65 million dollar yearlings, whilst his incredible sons Stratum, Snitzel and Not A Single Doubt continue his Champion legacy at stud.

The filly foal pictured is out of Hot Springs, herself by Kabool out of Argosy mare Pebble Creek. Her first foal by Newton is a winner, named Trout Creek and she has an unraced two year old by Curved Ball. Hot Springs is a winner herself, a half-sister to Stake winning Aluvial (by Captain Al). This is also the damline of Furious Dancer.

“Redoute’s Promise boasts a pedigree that demands respect from any self-respecting Australian and so by all rights should do the same for us as South African breeders”, commented Warwick Render at Bush Hill Stud’s recent stallion day.

A big horse standing 16,3h, a little taller than his sire Redoute’s Choice, Redoute’s Promise stands for a fee of R5000.
