Newton Power Strong Debut Win

Newton Power stormed to a 12-length victory at Borrowdale Park yesterday, Zimbabwe. The three year old gelding bred by Warwick and Karin Render of Bush Hill Stud is by Newton(IRE) out of a Slew The Red mare, Red Spirit.

The bay gelding is trained by Gokhan Terzi, ridden to victory by Quinton Riddle. Carrying 58kgs, (the horse who finished third, seven lengths off carrying 60kgs) he made a cracking debut over 1000m.

By Slew The Red out of Dream Starling, Red Spirit hails from the family of Clifton Queen, First Arrival and Equus Champion Lets Rock ‘n Roll. She has a yearling by Ravishing and she is due to foal to him again this year.
