Bush Hill Enjoy Double At Turffontein
Warwick and Karin Render of Bush Hill Stud enjoyed a double at Turffontein, including the exciting son of Flying The Flag from the stable of Paul Peter who has now won three races in a row.
The 3yo is just getting better out of the maidens and the Paul Peter stable think highly of the colt out of Gold Lass by Goldkeeper – a notable broodmare sire. Owned by Mr Da Costa, Electric Gold looks to a horse to follow for the upcoming Gauteng season. He was ridden by Rachel Venniker who enjoyed a treble on the day.
Grey Querari gelding Kalahari Blue, a half-brother to multiple winner Varvacious won the first race of the day for owner Messrs J F and L M F Wernars and Mrs T J Wernars. Trained by Johan Janse Van Vuuren, Kalahari Blue won emphatically in his second start by almost three lengths, after debuting to the talented Karangetang in the Gr3 Protea Stakes.
Kalahari Blue is the son of Gr2 winner Go Indigo (Indigo Magic), who has produced multiple winners from all four of her runners.
Bush Hill Stud finished on close to 30% winners to runners last season and will be represented at the August 2YO Sale with 10 two year olds on offer, by sires Flying The Flag, New Predator and Willow Magic.
Bush Hill Stud can be found in the E block at the TBA Complex of the August 2YO Sale.
