Warwick and Karin Render’s Bush Hill Stud, whose past National Sales graduates include millionaire The Mouseketeer and G1 Woolavington 2000 winner Zirconeum, will be offering another top class draft at April’s Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Bush Hill’s nine strong draft (two offered as agent) include lots by such prominent and promising sires as Crusade, Toreador, Philanthropist, Judpot, Oratorio and Visionaire.

First of the string on offer is Lot 12, a daughter of European champion and dual Italian champion sire Oratorio. This filly is out of a Kahal ½ sister to the above mentioned Zirconeum and G1 winning sprinter Stellite. Another from this family is Toreador colt Mexican Catdance (Lot 521) –a half-brother to 4 winners, including Listed Michaelmas Handicap hero King Neptune.

Champion Pathfork is the sire of Treading Water (Lot 71) –a half-brother to 2 winners headed by G3 Strelitzia Stakes winner Neptune’s Rain, and this colt’s dam is a three time winning daughter of Champagne Stakes winner Waterwise.

Former Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade, responsible for a pair of feature race winners over the weekend, has two in the draft –1/2 sister to 8 winners including Horse Of The Year, and promising Bush Hill sire, Irish Flame (Lot 118), and Star Crusade (Lot 286). The latter is out of four time winner and G3 performer Stella Mia –a ½ sister to King Neptune, from the same family as Stellite and Zirconeum.

Multiple G1 winner Irish Flame, sire of smart recent 2yo winner Drunken Sailor, is the sire of a filly out of G3 Magnolia Handicap winner Lee Danzig (Lot 461), while bang in-form sire, and G1 winner, Visionaire, is responsible for a filly (Lot 233) out of a Kahal ½ sister to 3 stakes winners from the great Drohsky family.

Former Equus Outstanding Stallion Judpot, a consistent sire of high class winners, is the sire of a colt whose dam is a daughter of multiple G1 winning champion Kiss Of Peace, from the same family as top class sprinter and sire Harry Hotspur (Lot 336).

Philanthropist, sire of current leading Hong Kong galloper Singapore Sling, has a really nice colt in the form of Gilded Age (Lot 384). This chestnut, a ½ or full brother, to 2 winners, is out of millionaire Biarritz’s G3 winning own sister Countess Corlia and he looks a nice type in the making.
