KZN Breeders Series Log For Juveniles - 10 May 2015

KZN's star juvenile filly, the brilliant unbeaten daughter of Visionaire, Royal Pleasure, leads the Juvenile log of the KZN Breeders Series over 1200m, for a stake of R200 000 each. A race for colts and fillies is on offer, with 194 juveniles entered competing for just 28 places.

Glen Kotzen's two year old standout co-owned by 3A Racing Syndicate, Team Valor and Mr and Mrs Anant and Vaneshree Singh leads the log by 24 points, with Black Type former leader Just As I Said in second place 19 points. This is followed by Michael and Verna Roberts bred and owned Class Act (Lion Tamer) with 15 points and Faberge Style (St Petersburg) for the Tmen Stables in fourth position.

Royal Pleasure is being aimed at the Gr1 Alan Robertson on 23 May after winning the Gr3 Strelitza by three quarters of length, making her record and incredible three from three. The filly is out of King Of Kings mare Royal Purse, and first made news as the first winner for Visionaire (by Grand Slam) in South Africa - and not only winning her debut, but winning it in dramatic fashion by almost seven lengths.

The filly is a R30 000 graduate from the Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale.

The KZN Breeders Race Day in the past has always been an enormous success with a "proudly KZN" black and white theme, it promises to be filled with fun for the whole family.

The KZN Breeders Series consisting of eight races will be run for a stake of R200 000 each on our KZN Breeders Race Day including two for Juveniles (colts and fillies), 28 June 2015, incorporating the Million Mile - all exclusively for horses registered with the KZN Breeders Premium Scheme. The KZN Breeders Series will be run on the Greyville Polytrack over distances of 1200, 1600m and 1900m.

The owners of each winning horse on the day stand to take home a voucher of R10 000 redeemable towards a KZN-bred yearling at the Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale the following week, whilst the connections of the first three placed horses in each race will get a voucher of R5 000 each.

The KZN Breeders Million Mile winner stands to win not only the biggest stake of the day, but will take home a R20 000 KZN-bred yearling voucher in addition. The KZN Breeders Million Mile is excluded from this entry process, and will be run on turf for three and four year olds with a suitable Merit Rating.
