Miesque's Approval looking a picture last week at Scott Bros, during a visit from presenter Martin Locke.
Proving to be the king of the polytracks, Scott Bros resident sire Miesque's Approval is leading nationally as the top sire on artificial going. He has several smart, well-related yearlings being offered from various farms around KZN at the upcoming TBA National Yearling Sale.
His top performing winner on the polytracks at both Greyville and Fairview, is Scrum Half - bred by George Rowles, the four year old gelding is owned by Miss V S Govender and trainer Mr G H van Zyl.
A four-time winner over four tracks, the consistent gelding out of Rocky Marriage mare Sunset Glow - has placed five times, finishing closely to the likes of Alareef and Al Ciberano.
The Gr1 Breeders Cup Mile winner on Turf also lies 11th on the National Sires Log by stakes earned, lead by Gr2 Victory Moon Stakes winner Judicial. Miesque's Approval's stats are impressive, considering the National Sires Log consists of all surface performances.
Miesque's Approval is represented by five yearlings at the upcoming TBA National Yearling Sale. They include Lot 36 consigned by Clifton Stud, a half-sister to the talented Gr2 Charity Mile winner Bezanova, from the damline of the ill-fated Wendywood.
Lot 141 and Lot 182 share a very similar pedigree. Lot 141, consigned by Scott Bros named Ambercrombie, sees the chestnut filly share a third dam with Lot 182 - a grey colt named Scribo (consigned by Piemonte Stud), the common denominator being Fanciful by Ringaro.
Ambercrombie is a half-sister to jet-setting three-time winner Winter Fever, as well as Jet Fever. Scribo is out of Harolds Gold by Fort Wood, who has produced three winners to date, with eight wins achieved between them.
Spring Valley Stud have a chestnut filly consigned as Lot 257, a first foal out of six-time winning Lovetorn(AUS), winner of the Listed Jockey Club Stakes.
Eclipse Award winning Miesque's Approval has produced the likes of Judicial, as mentioned above a Gr2 winner who also placed third, just three lengths off Louis The King in the Gr1 Summer Cup and placing just two lengths off in the Gr3 London News Stakes.
Others are Hong Kong based Eton Blitz (formerly Eton Square), who won the Gr3 Jubilee and went on to place just one length off Pomodoro in the 2012 Vodacom Durban July, whilst stayer Putney Flyer grabbed victory in the Kenilworth Cup Listed. He recently finished just two lengths off in the Gr3 Chairman's Cup over 3200m. Approval Rating, Placido, Shine Like A Star and Do Be Snappy have all drawn attention.
Miesque's Approval stood for a service fee of R35 000 last season.
