Bush Hill Stud's First King's Chapel(AUS) Foals On Show
| |
Bush Hill Stud have welcomed the first foals of King's Chapel(AUS) this season and it seems there are exciting times ahead for this young sire, judging by the quality of his outstanding foals.
The best performed imported son of King Of Kings(IRE) continues to make waves overseas with winners by King's Chapel in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. From 1 August to 9 September 2012, he has already achieved a ratio of 17% runs to wins.
Warwick Render had this to say about King's Chapel: "He is a magnificent-looking stallion with size, substance and quality, he is beautifully balanced and so far, all indications are this is what he throws in his foals. It's no wonder he was so popular with so many respected breeders in his first season in South Africa last year, but even less wonder that these same breeders are booking more mares to him than they did last year. His first foals are everything we hoped they might be: strong, correct and with great quality."
Lee Danzig has produced an outstanding chestnut 3/4 brother to Reign As Kings this year. Reign As Kings is trained by Mike de Kock and has won three of his five starts and placed once. He also finished five lengths off Potent Power in the Gr 1 Tsogo Sun Medallion earlier this year. Clearly a winning pedigree nick, another full-brother, Reign Victorious, has had a win and five places.
Lee Danzig, by Qui Danzig out of Leeward Isle by Sledgehammer(NZ), is a five-time winner including the Gr 3 Steinhoff Magnolia Handicap, placing nine times. She has now produced four foals, two runners and two winners (above), including a chestnut yearling full-sister to Reign As Kings.

Terra Firma is a winner from only five starts and has another eye-catching yearling by Fort Beluga.

Hell's Fire, by Fard out of Floating Taxi by Taxiarchos(GB), is a two-time winner who placed four times before injury cut her racing career short. She has produced an eye-catching bay colt this season by King's Chapel.
Hell's Fire is a half-sister to Gr 3 SA Oaks Trial Handicap winner Foxi Flo and a half-sister to three other winners. She has two unraced youngsters - a three year old filly named Dragon Tattoo and an outstanding two year old colt in Bazaruto Island by Mullins Bay.
This dam-line has produced Bold Black Types such as Tillanca, the dam of Spey Bridge Champion Three Year Old Colt named Bluff (winner of the Gr 2 Drill Hall Stakes) and William Henry, another Spey Bridge Award winner, this time as a Champion Sprinter. Fleet Machine and Baikal appear under the fourth dam Tremolo.
Splitsville, by Badger Land(USA) out of Four Weddings by Foveros(GB) - has produced a big bay filly this season. Splittsville has five wins to her name and earned R299,450 from the age of 3 to 4. She placed 17 times including three Listed races.
Her dam Four Weddings has produced three runners and three winners, with her third dam by Sir Gaylord(USA) producing Grade 2 winner and sire Romantic Lead and multiple Grade 1 winner and sire (including the Woodward Stakes) Track Barron. A family with plenty of Bold Black Type, i it includes the likes of Amerricos Bullet(USA), Outmoded(USA), Seattle Wave(USA), and 12-time winner Chancyleigh(USA).
Splitsville also has a yearling colt by Kahal(GB), now standing at Bush Hill Stud.
