Aldora Stud is owned by UK based Mike and Jenny Smith, and has a long and successful breeding history in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Built by George and Doreen Rowles, Aldora as it is today sits in the superb horse raising country of Nottingham Road and has superb facilities with three yards and a seperate foaling and veterinary unit.
The farm was purchased by Guy Landon who relocated his fledgling Aldora Stud from Karkloof and was responsible for the importation of Secret Prospector and Rakeen (Sire of Jet Master), two of the major stallions to stand locally.
Aldora under the management of respected horsewoman Anne Woodham, has moved to continue the success of past years, always using the best stallions available and this past season has been the best ever for this operation with a host of winners including the very smart Black Type Derby Trial winner.
The farm is home to a number of Black Type mares including the now retired Fanciful who was a champion in her era, and the farm has two of her daughters by Fort Wood, therefore own sisters to Cover Look, herself the dam of a Group 3 winner in the UK.
